The narrative
An Extruded House - was conceived as a design collaboration between myself and my parents, whilst the project was designed with special consideration for the bulk of the construction to be carried out by my Father.
Together we set out to rethink, reorganise and extend their 1960’s brick built detached house in the small town of Chatteris in Cambridgeshire. The strategy was to create an impressive space which had better circulation and more flexibility in its functionality.
Our priority was to convert the original garage into an entertaining and dining area that could cater for my parents and their love of hosting dinner parties, family gatherings and special occasions.
